Personal consultations

You have the opportunity to apply for short targeted consultations from one of the Sci.STEPS team members. 

To do this, you need to fill out a questionnaire and describe in as much detail as possible what you need help with, and we ask you to support the development of our program with a donation. We recommend a donation of 30 euros (or 3000 rubles) per one hour consultation.

Topic examples: 

• Checking and correcting your CVs, cover letters, letters of recommendation

• Preparing for interviews in academia and industry

• Consultation about taking language exams, planning preparation for the exams.

• Advice on writing scientific articles and help with scientific illustrations

• Preparing beautiful, structured and memorable presentations for lectures/conferences/relevant speeches 

• Experience of adapting, living and working as a scientist in different countries of the world

• Career coaching - help with defining your desires and goals in your career, self-realization in your profession

• Applying your talents and skills and planning a career track in academia and industry

• Transitioning into science with a medical degree

• Volunteering and activism in science and near-science fields

• Networking and professional social media for your career

• You name it. Anything we can help you with in 1-2h. Just let us know and we will figure something out.

All funds raised from these consultations will be used to organize mentoring seasons, open events and acquire a legal status as a non-profit organization. 

We are ready to consider special cases when this size of donation is too big for you. Write about it in the application form.
